That’s official, a new movie is on its way. After Radio Free Albemuth, we’ll have Flow My Tears.
Then, perhaps, Ubik.
Oh, I see good times coming !

I am Ubik. Before the universe was, I am. I made the suns. I made the worlds. I created the lives and the places they inhabit; I move them here, I put them there. They go as I say, then do as I tell them. I am the word and my name is never spoken, the name which no one knows. I am called Ubik, but that is not my name. I am. I shall always be.

Philip Kindred Dick and his twin sister, Jane Charlotte Dick, were born six weeks premature to Dorothy Kindred Dick and Joseph Edgar Dick in Chicago.

The figure of a black-haired girl is an obsession in Dick's works.
Dick sold his first story in 1952.
From that point on he wrote full-time, selling his first novel in 1955.
In 1963, Dick won the Hugo Award for The Man in the High Castle.

Dick was married five times.
He had three children.
And many, many friends.

The last novel published during Dick's life was The Transmigration of Timothy Archer.

He died in March, 2 1982.
